What we make

Scrub sets, staff uniforms, institutional workwear

Paragon Textile provides services to acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, hotel and hospitality providers, rehabilitation centres and mental health facilities. The garments below are made against the same brief as the linen those buildings already run: launder it hard, keep it looking like a uniform, replace it predictably.

01

Scrub sets

Unisex or shaped scrub top with matched trouser. V-neck or mock-wrap front, chest and hip pockets, drawcord or elasticated waist, side vents. Ordered as a set or as separates when tops and trousers turn over at different rates.

02

Ward & clinic staff uniforms

Nursing tunics and over-tunics, dress-style uniforms, uniform shirts and trousers for reception, records and outpatient staff. Contrast piping and department colour coding are set at order, not left to whatever the supplier had in stock.

03

Institutional workwear

Housekeeping, laundry, catering and support-services uniforms, plus aprons and tabards. Specified alongside the towels and bedding the same team handles, so one purchase order covers the floor rather than three.

04

Security & front-of-house

Guard and reception uniforms: shirt, trouser, cap and tie, with woven or embroidered insignia and department badging set at order, not left to a generic stock design.

Doctor lab coats are a separate line with their own lengths, fit and finish. See lab coats.

Six professional uniforms modelled together: corporate, chef whites, graduation gown, waitstaff, polo and doctor's coat
Uniform styles across industries: corporate, culinary, ceremonial, hospitality and medical, each cut and branded to the wearer's role.
Two mannequins in grey and navy security guard uniforms with peaked caps, ties and shoulder insignia
Security and front-of-house uniforms: cap, tie and shoulder insignia set to your specification.

Fabric & finish

The vocabulary a scrub fabric is written in

Most healthcare garment fabric in this market is a poly-cotton twill or poplin. The four decisions below are the ones that actually change how the garment behaves on a ward, and they are the ones we would like you to arrive with, or to talk through with us before we cut anything.

Blend

Polyester carries colour and shape recovery; cotton carries hand feel and breathability. A polyester-rich blend holds its press and its shade longer through institutional laundering. A cotton-rich blend is cooler on a twelve-hour shift and softer against skin. The ratio is the first thing to fix, and it is fixed on your order, not by us in advance.

Weave

Twill is the usual choice: the diagonal float gives drape, a little natural stretch along the bias and a surface that disguises light soiling. Poplin and plain weaves sit flatter and read crisper, which suits front-of-house and reception uniforms more than scrubs.

Soil-release finish

A polyester-rich surface is oil-loving: body oils, lotions and ointments sit in the fibre and ordinary aqueous laundering struggles to lift them. A soil-release finish changes the surface so those soils release in a normal wash. It is a laundering aid, not a stain barrier, and it is not a claim that the garment repels anything.

Easy-care / wrinkle-resistant finish

An easy-care finish helps the cloth recover from creasing so garments can come out of a tumble dryer and go straight back on shift without a pressing step. Pressing is one of the most expensive stages in an institutional laundry, so this is a cost decision as much as an appearance one.

These are the terms the industry writes specifications in. They are not a published Paragon specification. We do not print a yarn count, a fabric weight or a finish rating for these garments, because the construction is set against your laundry regime and confirmed on an approved sample. We make no antimicrobial, fluid-barrier or flame-retardant claim for any garment on this page.

Sizing

A size run is a distribution, not a range

Procurement teams are usually given a size range and asked to guess the rest. The number that decides whether a delivery works is the run: how many of each size arrive, and that comes from your own staff data, not from a supplier's default curve.

Send us a headcount by size if you have one. If you do not, a fitting set sized across the range will produce it, and the run for every repeat order after that is simply your own history.

We publish no standard size run for scrubs or staff uniforms, because we have none that would be honest for your building. The run is set on your order and printed on your specification sheet.

  • Size run: On request. Built from your headcount or a fitting set.
  • Length variants: regular and long trouser lengths available as an option.
  • Sleeve: short or long on tunics and uniform shirts.
  • Cut: unisex block, or separate men's and women's blocks where the fit matters.
  • Grading: body measurements and tolerances confirmed on the approved sample before bulk.
  • Marking: size marked on the neck or waistband label to your convention.

Branding

Embroidery, labels and department colour

Your brand deserves fabrics that reflect precision, consistency and uncompromised quality. At Paragon, every thread is designed to uphold your reputation, not just ours, which on a uniform means the logo sits in the same place on the two hundredth garment as on the first.

Embroidery

Institution crest or wordmark at the left chest, with a second line for name and role and a third for department where your convention uses one. Placement, size and thread colour are confirmed against an approved stitch-out before the run, so every subsequent delivery matches the one in your store room.

Woven and printed labels

A woven satin label at the neck or side seam carries your name; a printed label carries size, composition and care. For private-label and distributor orders your label replaces ours entirely, with no Paragon marking on the garment or the packing.

Department colour coding

A colour-coded fleet is readable across a corridor: theatre in one shade, nursing in another, housekeeping in a third, and a visitor can tell who to ask. The system only works if the shade holds across re-orders, which is why colour is specified against a reference rather than a swatch name.

Colours: white and cream from stock. Other shades matched to a Pantone reference on order.

Trim

Contrast piping at the collar, pocket or side vent, contrast binding on scrub necklines, and buttons or press studs matched to the trim. Trim is the cheapest way to make a uniform look like yours rather than like a catalogue.

Recommended care for this fabric typeWash with like colours on a warm wash. Do not bleach coloured garments. Tumble dry low and remove promptly to limit creasing. Cool iron if required. Generic guidance for a poly-cotton blend, not a tested Paragon result.

At Paragon Textile, production is guided by defined protocols, quality controls and measurable benchmarks. Our processes are structured to meet international sourcing and compliance requirements. The exact fabric, finish, size run and branding for your order are fixed on an approved sample before bulk.
