Purity in Every Thread
Crafted with restraint and respect, Paragon Ihram fabrics emphasize purity, uniformity, and breathable comfort, honoring the sanctity of Hajj and Umrah.
Ihram: transliterated into English as ehram or ahram, and written إحرام in Arabic: is the sacred state a pilgrim enters before Hajj or Umrah, and the plain white cloth worn in it. This page is about the cloth: what it is made of, how it is finished, and how it is supplied in quantity.
We make it because the discipline suits us. Our whole output is white cotton, our weaving and knitting are in-house, and an ihram is the most exacting white cotton product there is, because there is nothing on it to hide behind.

The set
Two pieces, and no third
An ihram set is two rectangles of cloth. They are not garments, they are not cut to a body, and nothing is added to them, which is exactly why the specification has to be right the first time.
Lower body
Izar, the waist wrap
The lower piece. It is wrapped around the waist and secured at the hip, or held with a separate belt, covering the body from the navel to below the knee. It is never buttoned, knotted into a fitted shape, or sewn into a tube.
Upper body
Rida, the shoulder drape
The upper piece. It is draped over the shoulders and across the upper body, and is commonly worn with the right shoulder left uncovered during the arrival tawaf. It rests on bare skin for hours at a time, so hand and edge matter more here than anywhere.
Both pieces are supplied as woven lengths, unstitched and unhemmed. The two-piece white set is worn by male pilgrims; for women the ihram is ordinary modest dress, so the cloth described on this page is specified for men’s sets.
Specifying an ihram
Why plain undyed white matters
Every constraint on this product comes from the ritual first and the climate second. Read together, they explain every decision we make on the loom and at finishing.
- The ritual asks for unstitched cloth. Ihram is defined as much by what is not done to it as by what is. No cutting to shape, no seams, no fastenings, no tailoring. A hem is stitching, so there is no hem. We finish the pieces as woven, in the state the ritual requires, rather than tidying them into something they must not be.
- No dye means nothing to migrate. Hajj and Umrah are performed in heat, and the cloth is worn against bare skin for long hours while the wearer perspires. Cloth left plain and undyed has no dyestuff to crock or transfer onto skin, and nothing to mark the towels, bedding or coach seats of a group in transit.
- No seams, no hems, no hardware. Nothing to chafe at the shoulder or the waist over days of walking, standing and sleeping in the same two pieces. No trim, no elastic, no metal, no printed transfer sitting between the cloth and the wearer.
- Uniform whiteness across the batch. A pilgrim group reads as a group only when every set in the shipment is the same white. Whiteness is set at finishing, so we ask agencies to approve a physical piece and we run and inspect the batch against that approved sample rather than against a description.
- Breathability, because it is worn all day. Plain cotton in an open construction moves air and takes up moisture rather than holding it against the skin, which is why plain cotton, not a synthetic, is the traditional cloth for tawaf, sa’i and the stand at Arafat.

Bulk & group supply
For Hajj agencies, tour operators and pilgrimage retailers
Group supply is a logistics problem before it is a textile problem. Buyers search for the product as ihram, ehram or ahram; what they actually need is the same number of identical sets, in the right packing, at the right place, before departure.
How agencies usually buy it
Tell us the number of sets and how you want them broken down, one sleeve per pilgrim, one carton per group, or split by hotel or departure date. We pack to that breakdown so nothing has to be re-counted on arrival.
Your brand on the packing
The cloth stays plain, because it must. Your agency or retail brand goes on the sleeve, the belly band and the carton, printed from your artwork. Full private-label production is covered on our custom manufacturing page.
Seasonal and repeat supply
Umrah runs through the year and Hajj concentrates into a season. Agencies who repeat with us approve one physical sample and re-order against it, so the second season is specified from the first rather than negotiated again.

Tell us the group size and the date
Send the number of sets, the packing breakdown you need and the date they have to be with you. If you have an ihram you already buy and want matched, send us a piece, matching an existing cloth is easier than describing one.
